Writers Origin Stories
Think back. What led you to writing in the first place? Writers Daily Dive meets weekdays at 1:00. Its like therapy, but it's not. We meet. We chat. We mute. We write.
What gets us through the times when we are considering throwing in the towel? Junot Diaz writes beautifully this week about revisiting the story of how he became a writer from a shopping cart of books. Read his article here:
Write with us, paint with us, stare into space with us for an hour. Even if you don’t put words on the page it’s still worth it to make your appointment with the muse. Inspiration wont show up 100% of the time. But since I don’t know which days it will, I figure I should be there anyway at the designated time and place.
Subscribe for a free 7 day trial. If you love writing with us after a week, you can upgrade to be a paying member of The Daily Dive and/or The Writer’s Collective Out East.
Join us for one hour of focus during the chaos of the day. We are practicing serious self-compassion by showing up even on dark days. We meet on Zoom at 1:00 pm, EST. We leave our cameras on so it feels less lonely. We wrap up at 2:00. Those who are onto something just continue writing. Those who want to check in can chat.
