Book As Resurrection
Writers Daily Dive strikes the match that lights the fire under your ass! Join our live writing salon weekdays at 1:00 on Zoom. We meet. We chat. We mute. We write in Silence. It's a little bit genius

A book is a kind of resurrection. Its two major ingredients are paper and fire. I know its a bold statement, but the book I am writing is resurrecting two people. I know I probably wouldn’t be here if I hadn’t immersed myself in the project of resurrecting Nicholas on paper. I realize its not realistic to think I can save my dead husband from time. But then again why not? The act of writing this is saving my life. The act of writing it down is creating something that is alive. Taking what was alive between two peoples brains and hearts and making a proper place for it has lit my fire. Making a paper house for the two of us is the most worthy endeavor I can think of.
Join me at my Writers daily Dive for one hour of focus during the chaos of the day. We are practicing serious self-compassion by showing up even on dark days. We meet on Zoom at 1:00 pm, EST. We leave our cameras on so it feels less lonely. We wrap up at 2:00. Those who are onto something just continue writing. Those who want to check in can chat.
A subscription gets you a free week of the Writers Daily Dive. After that you can upgrade to $10 bucks a month.

Think of Writers Daily Dive as a safe landing place. We keep it a little loose. It doesn’t have to be stressful. You could use it as a silent place to think or meditate. But if you do want to write, you can use these images as prompts. I love writing from images. It gives me a structure. Write only what I can see. It's a great exercise for those of us who get lost in out heady thoughts - to stay in the image at all costs.
If you don’t yet know Sophie Gamand who created these images above. please look her up. She first captured my heart with her pictures of shelter dogs that were waiting years for adoption. The photos above are of empty kennel spaces that she is immortalizing through her new photographs.
Please also read : A Suitable Vessel. This is where you can read installments from Ghost Chapters From The Green Books, about life in the aftermath of my husband’s death in 2020.
Also on offer is a running writers group that has been meeting in East Hampton for 9 years! We now meet on Zoom. It’s called the Writers Collective Out East. We write in-group for 10 minutes, and then give feedback to members on their submitted pieces of writing. We meet every Wednesday at 6:30 PM, EST.
Cannot wait to get into this
