Wow, I know nothing about this series, but I became completely immersed in the story of Nick! And those photographs of the grandmothers—I swear to God, some still have this image in their minds of what a woman, sixty and above, looks like. I'm thinking the Big Five publishers!
How appropriate - "A Suitable Vessel for MAGIC" - because Nick really does come back to life in this conversation, we are getting to know him, becoming friends. God, this is gorgeously written.
Hi Kara, I loved the last photo you posted of Jennifer. It brought back a memory of seeing a similar pic of her in one of the MANY letters she wrote while in EH or Vermont or from Lewis Wadhams school. I have to confess that I threw all those letters away when I moved out of my childhood home in NJ, which was across the street from Jennifer’s. They could have been SO helpful to you. I wish someone had been watching me dump them into the trash can & secretly retrieved them when I went back inside. That kind of thing only happens in the movies. I’m so sorry.
Thanks so much for reading. It means a lot to know you are following along. I love that photo too! I have so much material form Jennifer's childhood, so don't worry. But I would have loved to have read them!

How lovely to get this today! Mostly we write into the void, but when readers tell us our writing means something, it is everything.
Can you call the big 5 for me, and tell them?
😂
Really love you taking us along into your conversation with Nick. It feels very intimate and sweet. Great job. Love the pictures!!

Hi Susie!

I relish the conversation you and Nick had.
I can hear his voice and certitude and wisdom and seduction. All wrapped into one.
More, Please.
Thank you, Nina, and you know there is so much more!
